Fik Fameica to face court over Shs1m deal

Singer Fik Fameica is quite a hot item on the music scene right now. Could it be the reason he is beginning to grow wings as we hear? Well, news reaching us is that the Property singer, real name Shafik Walukaga, failed to perform at the Ice Cream and Cake Festival after receiving a Shs1m deposit and promising to be there.

Fameica was supposed to close the evening’s performance after Levixone but he was a no-show despite the MC’s constant reminder to the crowd that he was coming.

From what we learnt, Fameica showed up at the Uganda Museum grounds after almost all the revellers had left. When the organisers asked him to refund the deposit he had received, Fameica instead asked for his balance.

Fameica refused to pay the Shs1m and drove off to Entebbe where he was supposed to perform at the Club DJ Awards. Now the organisers of the cake festival have filed a court case against the singer.

According to sources, before planning to go to court, the organisers kept calling Fameica for the money but he only told them “Sorry, it happens”.

Ouuuch! Apparently, the reason he arrived late for the show was because he was in Mbarara where he was performing that evening.
