French Montana meets with Ugandan UN ambassador

It is official. French Montana is in love with Uganda after being swept off his feet by the Ghetto Kids. The singer has met with the Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations H.E Dr. Adonia Ayebare to discuss maternal and child health. On his Twitter page, Montana tweeted: “Just met w/UG Amb @adoniaayebare to discuss how we can work together & improve health for moms &kids.”

They were mixed reactions to his tweet with most people applauding and a few wondering whether he had chosen the right partner.

@DeejayClive1tweeted, “thanx for standing out of the crowd supporting Ugandans @ large peace & luv”. @SamDorro was optimistic that Montana would do more than help mothers and kids and tweeted: “I see Uganda’s President’s portrait in the background, Hope your discussing on helping my country Uganda and Africa.”

While @hismnec was happy about the artiste lending a helpful hand, he doubtful that much can be achieved: “that’s wonderful bro, am a Ugandan thou working with the w/UG Amb is the right procedure but i swear to u they are the most corrupt,” he said.

Although Montana had originally wanted the Ghetto kids just to appear in the video for his song, unforgettable, they seem to have tugged at his heartstrings a great deal. After they appeared in the video, French Montana donated $100,000 to the country’s Mama Hope organisation to help promote and support “local blood banks”

He said at the time, “It touched my heart when I went out there. I wanted to give them the shirt off my back and help as soon as possible.” After that he said he would come back to Uganda to help with more projects to help raise more money for the cause. Looks like he is keeping his word.
