Its official. We can say we lived in the era that saw the first BET award come home and the first performance by Ugandans aired live on BET, thanks to the Ghetto Kids. Early this morning the 2017 BET Awards were held at the 7,100 capacity Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California with a host of amazing performances on display but for many it was the performance of French Montana alongside Uganda’s Ghetto Kids who featured in the music video for his smash shit “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee that brought the house down.

Dressed in white, the Ghetto Kids, seven in number put up an energetic performance as French Montana and Swae Lee performed. The crowd loved it and sung along. At the end of the performance the reaction showed that the crowd had enjoyed it all.

Earlier this year the Ghetto Kids got the golden opportunity to future in a video with the American Superstar French Montana but little did we know or anticipate it would end up setting the boys and girls up for history as the first Ugandans to grace the BET stage. It is a moment they are unlikely to forget for a long time.
