Run Girls Marathon @Kawaala Health Centre IV
A marathon to fundraise sanitary wear for about 600 girls in selected schools of very poor communities in Kampala and Butaleja districts is on tomorrow. The funds will also help facilitate capacity training for 120 girls in vocational life skills, to complete education, have materials for projects and get income from crafts, computer literacy, tailoring and catering. Registration is 10k.

Jalada Mobile Festival – Kampala Leg @ Uganda Museum
Tomorrow and Sunday, the Jalada Mobile Literary & Arts Festival will be at the Uganda Museum. The festival will celebrate diversity and create living connections between writers, artists, and diverse audiences. The programme will feature panel discussions, literary readings, debates, spoken word, theatrical performances, creative writing and translations master classes.

Yella Cultural Festival @ Design Hub
Tomorrow, the newly established Design Hub Kampala will open its gates for the Yella Cultural Festival aimed at celebrating cultural heritage and diversity. Lots of performances are lined up, food, drinks and workshops. Come celebrate cultural heritage and diversity in arts & craft market, drum circles, open mics and workshops followed by concerts. Gates open at 11am starting with DJs playing African music. Entrance is 20k.

Ayanda movie showing @ National Theatre
Ayanda, a movie about a young girl coming-of-age story that takes us into a vibrant Johannesburg community alive with love and humor, risk and reward, tragedy and triumph is showing at National Theatre next Tuesday at 7.30pm. Tickets cost 10k.

Waataba @ Bat Valley Theatre
Mariam Ndagire Film and Performing Arts Centre Alumni present a play titled ‘Waataba’ starring Ziwa Dungu, Nansimbi, Nabuzaana, Enock, Amina among others. It’s starting tomorrow with two shows 3&7pm.
