Her hand held by her well-built bouncer, her manager, Tunji Balog who also happens to be her husband, led the crew (that comprised a sound technician and a deejay) backstage through the VIP section. She looked so collected and calm with the ‘let’s do this’ look in her face. The emcee of the night, Flavia Tumusiime, introduced her, lights went off and her energetic dancers took to the stage first. They lit the dark stage with their touches whilst pulling energetic Naija moves.
The expectant Tiwa Savage carefully took to the stage through the stair cases to rock Kampalans, especially the ladies that showed up in droves for the Airtel Inspiring Women Concert that was held on Sunday at Kati Kati grounds.

If there’s anything that stood out in Tiwa Savage’s performance, it was her energetic display and the free spirit she exhibited. She totally enjoyed herself performing. The agile movement and the famous Nigerian Shoki dance couldn’t get any better.
“She had the best performance of the night. Even with her pregnancy she managed to put an amazing energetic performance, something our very own local females could not match up with. I say Tiwa Savage is a very energetic performer. I got value for my money,” Christine Ahimbisibwe, one of the guests at the VIP section, told this writer.
She danced herself off while performing to some of her club bangers like Wanted, Love Me, Kele Kele Love among others. Her performance from Social Media Awards that took place on Saturday at the Golf Course Hotel was no different. From the dance moves, to the order of songs, it was just a replica of the previous night’s performance. Being a professional artiste, this came with no surprise because, unlike Ugandan musicians who perform fwaaa, these international artistes rehearse even when they are going for a tour and not only on album launches.

The concert was held to celebrate women on International Women’s Day. Female Ugandan artistes like Keko, Cindy, Irene Ntale, Lilian Mbabazi among others curtain raised for the Nigerian singer. Male artistes like Toniks, GNL and Chameleone also performed.
