P-Square feature American rapper Rick Ross

Nigerian singing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye better referred to as P-Square have gotten the international breakthrough several counterparts on the African continent only dream about. Just a few days ago, P-Square made news for signing a music distribution deal with renowned Universal Music Group (UMG) for the distribution of their songs worldwide.

Some months ago, the group struck a deal with Senegalese born American singer, Akon, as artistes under his music label, Konvict Music. Thereafter, P-Square did a collabo with Akon, where he was featured in a remix of one of their songs on their 2011 Invasion album, Chop My Money with Mister MayD. The song is a mega hit in Kampala.

Even before we could get enough of Chop My Money, P-Square has now featured top American rapper, Rick Ross in one of their songs off the same Invasion album titled Beautiful (Onyinye).

The video of the song was uploaded on Youtube on Tuesday and it received more than 10,000 hits in just a matter of hours.

The group that made its debut on the Nigerian music scene in early 2000 recently acquired a private jet, while our Ugandan artistes are still thumping their chests over Hummers, Escalades and Range Rovers.
